During the past two months, the WNT has seen the addition of six new players to the roster. Erika Keppel, a native of Santa Rosa, California joins the team as a goalie. "Kep," as she is called by her teammates, is making the transition to Team Handball from soccer, a sport in which she achieved great success at DePaul University, where she was named an All-American in 2001. Kalani Blackwell, originally from Oak Park, Illionois, also joins the WNT with a stellar athletic background in soccer. Blackwell is currently playing Division 1 soccer with Syracuse University, where she has recently transferred so that she may pursue both sports.

The WNT also welcomes locals Danielle Kendall and Jennifer Robertson. Kendall, a PE major and graduate of SUNY Cortland, brings a strong athletic background in volleyball and softball. Robertson, a current SUNY Cortland student and rugby player, also brings athleticism and intensity to the team.
Additionally, the WNT is excited to have German-nationals Katharina Elsmer and Nina Muench training and competition with the team. Elsmer, an experienced player from Bremen, is studying English at Syracuse University. Muench, a talented 16 year-old from Hamburg, decided to combine her passion for handball with her desire to study abroad, and designed an exchange to take place in Cortland so that she could play with the WNT. The WNT is excited to welcome all of these ladies!
