On Saturday, July 23, 2005, the WNT spent the day at Revere Beach (just outside of Boston, Mass) playing beach handball. The tournament, which was hosted by the New England Freeze, and their recently formed Women's Handball Team, featured both a men and women's division. The WNT brought two teams, and overall five women's games were played. The games resulted in one win by the New England Freeze, and two wins each for the WNT-blue and WNT-green. "It was a real blast," says WNT player Celia Nowicki, "we had some really great competition from the New England girls."

Christian Latulippe agrees, "It was a very good thing for us to come down here. We got a change of scenary, and some good practice against a group of talented players." The New England Freeze Women's Team is currently composed of several foreign-born players, mainly from Germany and Brazil, most of whom have many years of handball experience. They are expected to officially join the NETHC later this year, and if so will offer some strong competition for the league.

As for the WNT, this was the first beach handball tournament of the summer. They will play in Flanders, NJ from Aug. 6-7, and in Montreal, Canada from Aug. 20-21.
