On 7/10/05 and 6/26/05, the WNT headed to Rochester to practice Beach Handball on the shore of Lake Ontario. The team set-up a court on the sand and played scrimmages throughout the day, drawing on-lookers from the beach and the boardwalk. Even more exc At one point, a group of young men asked if they could play, and the WNT took a small break to coach the spectators as they scrimmaged against each other. While the trips to Rochester are a nice chance to practice in "game-like" conditions (sand, sun, and beach distractions), they are also a great opportunity to give exposure to the sport of handball and the WNT. With both weekends a success, the WNT will return to Rochester over the next few weeks as they continue to prepare for Beach Handball tournaments later this summer. |

Jennie is stationed near the northern city of Mosul, and we hope that comes back to us safely. |

iting were the groups of young people who stopped to watch, while exclaiming to friends and family members, "Look, it's Team Handball! We played that in gym class!"
