Following the end of the Quebec League season, coaches from each of the eight clubs nominated players for various individual awards. On Saturday 6/12/05, Head Coach Christian Latulippe traveled with WNT players Amanda Gillette and Edina Batar to represent the USA at the Award's Ceremony in Montreal. WNT captain, Tomuke "T" Ebuwei, won the award for "Best Player from the USA," beating out veteran player and fellow nominee Edina Batar. Veteran goalie Tabrekia Almon was also nominated for the "Best Goalie," but lost out to Champlain's star goalkeeper Audrey Touchette. Unfortunately "T" Ebuwei was unable to attend the banquet, so right wing Amanda Gillette accepted the award on her behalf. "It was a fun evening," Gillette said, "it was nice to see some of the other players off of the court. Toward the end of the season we all kind of knew who everyone was, but this was the first time we got a chance to get to know each other a little bit." This year, the WNT will be participating in the Quebec League for a second consecutive season, and games will begin in October
