In the past year, the Women’s National Team (WNT) has focused on achieving the mission laid out by the USA Team Handball Federation: “To establish and promote a focused Team Handball developmental pipeline in order to achieve and sustain competitive excellence at all levels with the goal of winning gold medals.” It is with this vision in mind that the WNT moves forward in an effort to gain sponsorship to support both the developmental aspects of Team Handball, in addition to the Women’s National Team Residency Program.

The WNT is proud to announce the release of their Strategic Marketing Plan, the first step in securing sponsorship at all levels of support. This plan was developed by members of the WNT staff, with the support of the Sports Management Department at SUNY Cortland. It is now available online, and can be viewed or downloaded by visiting the Sponsorship page.

The WNT is looking for Sponsors who will share their vision and become an integral part of their mission and dreams. These partnerships will be extremely rewarding to both the WNT and their Sponsors; the WNT will be given the financial support they need to achieve their goals and reach their potential, while the Sponsor will enjoy the exciting benefits that come with sponsoring a National Team.

The WNT strives for success at the international level, a success that depends on the support of the Sponsor, but leads to mutual rewards. And while there is much glory to be found on the international level, the WNT believes there are equally rewarding opportunities to be found through the development of Team Handball, both at the recreational and grassroots level. By supporting the WNT, Sponsors enable the development of Team Handball by providing the means to expand and grow leagues, like the Northeast Team Handball Conference, at all levels of competition. Sponsors also have the opportunity to appeal to young people through direct interaction with the WNT, through clinics and summer camps.

The WNT Strategic Marketing Plan details the properties the WNT has to offer, and the benefits available to Sponsors at all different levels (Primary, Gold, Silver, Bronze, etc.). In addition to seeking Corporate Sponsorship, the WNT is also looking to expand their list of Individual Donors, who are integral in building the future of the WNT program.
